Slow Cooker
Add pork roast and contents of the large ziploc to the slow-cooker. Turn it on HIGH for 10-12 hours for very soft meat. (8-10 hrs is also probably enough but I like mine to pull easily or shred in my kitchen aid mixer).
Optional (but recommended): Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Put shredded meat on lined pan. Drizzle meat with some reserved juices from the slow cooker. Broil for 5-7 minutes until some pieces start to crisp.
Serve on provided tacos with your favorite toppings!
Oven
Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
Place pork in a large roasting pan or Dutch oven. Add your carnitas seasoning and about 1 to 1½ cups liquid (broth, orange juice, or broth + lime is perfect)
Cover tightly with foil or a lid.
This part is important. No steam escape = tender pork.
Cook for 6 to 7 hours, covered.
